What affects VHS transfer quality?
Digitization preserves the picture and sound that are available on the source tape; it cannot create detail that was never recorded. Tape age, storage history, recording quality, playback wear, and physical condition can all affect the result.
We work with the tape in the condition in which it arrives and do not perform repair work. If a tape's condition limits what can be captured, we'll contact you about what is possible before changing the project.

How much does VHS to digital conversion cost?+
Digitization is $200 for up to 3 tapes, then $50 for each additional tape. Electronic MP4 delivery is included. A USB flash drive is $20 extra, and return shipping is charged separately. There are no other service fees.
How will I receive my converted VHS videos?+
Electronic MP4 delivery is included in the digitization price. If you also want a physical copy, you can add a USB flash drive for $20.
Will I get my original VHS tapes back?+
Yes. Your tapes are inventoried after arrival, kept together as one project, checked against the inventory before return, and sent home with tracked return shipping. Return shipping is charged separately.
What happens if a VHS tape is damaged or degraded?+
We digitize media in the condition in which it arrives and do not perform tape repair work. Tape age, storage, wear, and physical condition can affect the result. If the condition limits what can be captured, we'll contact you about what is possible.
How long will VHS digitization take?+
